I'm writing the review a bit too late but the memory is still so fresh, I guess its because of the lasting impression Taj Kumarakom had on us! It was a last minute decision as we were initially planning to holiday in Dubai and it didn't work out. Hurriedly I booked a room here as my husband hadn't seen Kumarakom. We reached there very early but the management very graciously allowed us to occupy our room. The location is fantastic, the food is outstanding and the service is beyond compare! We experienced the famous Taj hospitality in all its glory! It was worth every penny spent! We stayed in a suite which was a traditional kerala style bungalow with outdoor bathrooms with appropriate privacy. The whole property was so serene and there were smiles all around. The house boat ride through Vembanad lake is a must-do. But here's a little tip - try the country boats!
